Nigeria’s women’s national basketball team, D’Tigress, have received a special show of support from Nigerian aviation company XEJet ahead of the 2026 FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup in Berlin, Germany, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

XEJet unveiled a specially branded aircraft featuring the D’Tigress identity, celebrating the team’s remarkable achievements and continued representation of Nigeria on the global basketball stage.

The aircraft serves as a tribute to a team that has consistently made history in African and international basketball.

D’Tigress are five-time consecutive AfroBasket champions, underlining their dominance on the continent.

They also became the first African women’s basketball team to reach the quarter-finals of the Olympic Games.

With the 2026 FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup in Berlin approaching, the team will be aiming to build on its recent successes and further strengthen its status as one of Africa’s leading basketball sides.
