Nigeria's home-based senior men's national team have been dumped out of the 8th Africa Nations Championship after suffering a humiliating defeat to Sudan, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Eric Chelle's men failed to secure the maximum points in a must-win Group D encounter against Sudan’s Falcons of Jediane in Zanzibar on Tuesday.

The Eagles conceded twice in each half against a spirited Sudanese side in a blockbuster showdown at the Amaan Stadium in Zanzibar on Tuesday evening.

With the result, Eric Chelle's men have been sent packing from the tournament after failing to secure any points in two games despite having a group game left.
