2025/26 Season: Akwa United Throws Camp Open For New Players

Akwa United has thrown its camp open for new players in preparation for the 2025/26 football season, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The relegated former Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, champions opened their pre-season training camp on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at the Uyo Township Stadium in Uyo, ahead of the 2025/26 Nigeria National League (NNL) season.

Coaches Orok Akarandut, Bassey Akpan and Itoro Akpan are to lead retained players and appointed backroom staff during the training sessions.

Speaking ahead of the resumption, the Acting Secretary of the club, Elder Omon Bassey, emphasized that the pre-season programme is part of a broader strategy to reposition the team and ensure they meet their targets for the upcoming campaign.
