Spanish La Liga side Sevilla have extended their congratulations to striker Jerome Akor Adams after he received his first-ever invitation to the Nigerian national team, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle included the 24-year-old forward in his 23-man squad for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches against Lesotho’s Crocodiles and the Squirrels of Benin Republic.
Akor, a former Nigerian youth international, is one of nine strikers named in the squad. He recently opened his goal account for Sevilla in their 1-0 victory over Rayo Vallecano last weekend.
Reacting to his maiden call-up, Sevilla celebrated their striker with a short post on social media:
“Congrats to Akor Adams who has been called up by Nigeria for the first time!”
