AFCON 2025: Ighalo Urges Super Eagles To Focus On Positive Ending

Former Nigerian international Odion Ighalo has called on the Super Eagles to remain focused and aim for victory against Egypt in the third-place playoff of the 2025 African Cup of Nations, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Following their semi-final defeat to hosts Morocco, Nigeria now has the opportunity to salvage pride by securing a win against the Pharaohs on Saturday.

Ighalo emphasized the importance of moving past the disappointment and finishing the tournament on a high note.

 “Egypt will strive to regain its standing and achieve a positive result, so I hope Nigeria will do its utmost in that match to win and return with a positive outcome,” he said.

The Super Eagles will be looking to end their AFCON 2025 campaign with a strong performance as they face Egypt in Casablanca.
