AFCON 2025: Nigeria Great Team, Don't Need Referee Assistance To Win Game, Unlike Other Teams - Algerian Attacker Throws Jibe

Algerian forward Adel Boulbina has lauded Nigeria’s Super Eagles while taking a subtle dig at other teams in the ongoing African Cup of Nations in Morocco, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Boulbina’s comments came after Algeria, despite winning all three of their group-stage matches and their Round of 16 fixture, were defeated 2-0 by Nigeria.

Speaking to the press on Friday, Boulbina praised the Super Eagles for their quality and independence on the pitch.

 “The Nigerian national team is a great team and doesn’t need any help from the referee to win games, unlike some other teams,” he said.

Boulbina himself was instrumental earlier in the tournament, scoring the winning goal against DR Congo in the Round of 16, but his side fell short against the West Africans.
