The Confederation of African Football (CAF) Inspection Mission has arrived in Kenya as part of its assessment of the country’s preparations to host the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The inspection team on Thursday commenced its assessment of key facilities across Nairobi, focusing on infrastructure and venues earmarked for the continental showpiece.

The mission is expected to inspect stadiums, training facilities, accommodation, transportation and other critical infrastructure required to successfully host the tournament.

Kenya will co-host AFCON 2027 alongside Uganda and Tanzania, with the three East African nations working together to deliver the competition.

The CAF inspection is expected to provide an important assessment of the countries’ level of preparedness ahead of the tournament.
