AFCON 2027 Dates Officially Confirmed For East Africa’s Historic “Pamoja” Tournament

The dates for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), set to be jointly hosted by Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania, have officially been confirmed, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The tournament, tagged “Pamoja” a Swahili word meaning “together” will run from June 19 to July 18, 2027, marking a historic moment for East African football.
This will be the first time the three nations co-host Africa’s biggest football event, underlining a significant step in regional collaboration and development of the sport across the continent.
The month-long competition is expected to attract top football nations from across Africa, with preparations already underway in the host countries to ensure world-class facilities and smooth organization.
AFCON 2027 is also anticipated to boost tourism, infrastructure, and economic activities in Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania, while showcasing the region’s rich culture and passion for football on the global stage.
