AFCON 2027 Qualifiers: Super Eagles To Host Madagascar In Uyo

Nigeria's Super Eagles will begin their quest for a place at the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations with a home fixture against Madagascar in Uyo on September 23, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The date was confirmed by the Madagascar Football Federation, which announced the opening fixture of the qualifying campaign for the Barea.

In a statement, the federation said: "The appointment is set for the Barea, who will face Nigeria starting with the first match of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers in Uyo."

The Super Eagles are expected to take advantage of home support at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium as they aim to make a winning start to the qualification series.

Following the clash against Madagascar, Nigeria will continue their campaign with subsequent fixtures as they seek to secure a place at the 2027 AFCON tournament, which will be jointly hosted by Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda.
