AFCON Final: CAS Dismisses Reports Of Ruling In Senegal Case

The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) has dismissed reports circulating on social media claiming it has delivered a verdict in the case brought by the Senegalese Football Federation against the Confederation of African Football (CAF) and the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

In a statement, CAS clarified that no official decision has been issued regarding the matter, stressing that the arbitration proceedings are still ongoing.

The court further warned that information being circulated by some media platforms suggesting that a ruling has already been delivered is misleading and inaccurate.

CAS reiterated that any official decision in the case will be communicated through its established channels once the arbitration process has been concluded.

Until then, the court urged the public and media outlets to disregard unverified reports concerning the case.
