AOJ FC Kick Off NLO 2026 Campaign with Victory Over Saki Stars

Adebola Oluwo Johnson FC began their 2026 Nationwide League One campaign on a winning note, securing a 2–1 victory over Saki Stars FC at the Durba Stadium in Oyo on Saturday.

The visitors, Saki Stars, started brightly and applied early pressure, eventually taking the lead through a forward popularly known as “Osimen,” who capitalised on sustained attacking play.

AOJ FC, however, responded swiftly. Within five minutes, Ogundirun Rokebu restored parity, ensuring both sides went into the break level at 1–1.

The second half saw AOJ FC assert greater control, pressing higher and forcing errors from their opponents. Their persistence paid off when captain Moyosore Adeola Paul converted from a defensive lapse to give the hosts the lead.

AOJ FC then produced a disciplined defensive display to protect their advantage and secure all three points, marking a strong start to their league campaign.

They will look to build on this momentum when they face SDK FC in their next fixture on April 26 at the same venue.
