Akor Adams and Chidera Ejuke delivered a timely warning to Nigeria’s Africa Cup of Nations opponents after both forwards found the net in Sevilla’s emphatic 4-0 victory over Real Oviedo in a LaLiga clash on Sunday, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Adams wasted no time announcing his presence, opening the scoring in the fourth minute with a composed finish.

The early strike marked his first league goal in over a month, bringing an end to a seven-game goal drought and underlining his return to form at a crucial moment.

Sevilla doubled their advantage later in the first half through Djibril Sow, before Adams turned provider in the second period, setting up Batista Mendy to make it 3-0 for the hosts.

The icing on the cake came late on when substitute Chidera Ejuke showcased his trademark flair and composure, striking in the 89th minute to complete a dominant afternoon for the Andalusian side.

The convincing win halted Sevilla’s run of three consecutive LaLiga defeats and boosted their push towards the European qualification places.

For Adams and Ejuke, the performance served as a strong statement of intent ahead of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations. Adams’ return to the scoresheet and Ejuke’s impactful cameo highlight their readiness to contribute to the Super Eagles’ campaign.

Both players are now expected to depart Spain to join the Super Eagles camp as preparations intensify for the 2025 AFCON tournament.
