Nigeria's Temitope Adeshina has been crowned the NCAA Outdoor High Jump champion for the first time after producing a flawless performance at the championships in Eugene, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Adeshina cleared 1.96m to secure the gold medal, edging out her biggest rival, Rose Yeboah, on countback after both athletes successfully negotiated the winning height.

The Nigerian star emerged victorious thanks to an impeccable display, clearing every height she attempted on her first try throughout
