A fresh crisis has emerged in Senegalese football after the country's Ministry of Sports reportedly refused to finance any compensation that may arise from the termination of national team coach Pape Thiaw's contract, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

According to reports, the Ministry has formally informed the Senegalese Football Federation (FSF) that it will not assume any financial responsibility if the federation decides to part ways with the coach.

The Ministry maintained that any decision to terminate Thiaw's contract rests solely with the FSF, insisting that the federation must bear the full cost of any compensation due to the coach.

The development is expected to increase tensions within Senegalese football, with the federation now facing the prospect of funding any contractual settlement from its own resources should it decide to dismiss Thiaw.

The latest dispute adds to the growing administrative challenges surrounding Senegalese football, as uncertainty continues over the future of the national team's coaching setup.
