Joe Aribo will remain at Southampton despite speculation over his future following the club’s relegation from the Premier League, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Saints head coach Will Still confirmed that the Super Eagles midfielder has decided to stay at St Mary’s for the 2025/26 campaign.

After Southampton dropped to the Championship last season, a summer exodus saw several first-team players leave.

Aribo was tipped to follow, with reported interest from Villarreal, RB Leipzig, Besiktas, and his former club Rangers.

The 27-year-old missed the club’s opening four games while assessing his options.

However, he has now returned to full training and is committed to the team for at least the rest of the season.

“Yes, they’re [Aribo and Samuel Edozie] back in the squad,” Still told Saints Extra.

“We all know what the transfer window is like they had options and opportunities that didn’t quite materialise. Now we’re pleased to have them focused and ready.”

Aribo’s decision is a boost for Southampton as they target an immediate return to the Premier League.
