 Calvin Bassey and Fisayo Dele-Bashiru have joined the Super Eagles camp in Warsaw as Nigeria stepped up preparations for Wednesday’s international friendly against Poland, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Nigerian national team opened camp in the Polish capital on June 1, with 20 players participating in the squad’s final training session ahead of the highly anticipated encounter.

The Super Eagles head into the match in high spirits after defeating Jamaica 3-0 last weekend to win the Unity Cup for a record fourth time, providing a significant morale boost as preparations continue for future international assignments.

Tuesday’s training session saw the full complement of available players put through their paces as the coaching crew fine-tuned tactics and assessed fitness levels ahead of the friendly.

Among those who trained were goalkeepers Maduka Okoye, Francis Uzoho and Arthur Okonkwo, alongside defenders Calvin Bassey, Semi Ajayi, Zaidu Sanusi, Bruno Onyemaechi, Igho Ogbu and Emmanuel Fernandez.

Midfield options included Wilfred Ndidi, Raphael Onyedika, Frank Onyeka, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, Tochukwu Nnadi and Abdullahi Ibrahim, while the attacking contingent featured Moses Simon, Terem Moffi, Paul Onuachu, Akor Adams and Rafiu Durosinmi.

The friendly against Poland is expected to provide the coaching staff with another opportunity to assess players, strengthen team chemistry and evaluate tactical options as Nigeria continues preparations for upcoming competitive fixtures.

With confidence high following their recent success in the Unity Cup, the Super Eagles will be aiming to deliver another strong performance when they take on the Poles in Warsaw on Wednesday night.
