Serie A side Bologna FC 1909 are closely monitoring Nigerian forward Gift Orban as they seek to strengthen their attacking options ahead of the upcoming transfer window, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
According to reports from Transferfeed, the Italian club have identified the 23-year-old striker as a cost-effective alternative to some of their higher-priced targets. Orban is currently on loan at Hellas Verona FC from Bundesliga outfit TSG 1899 Hoffenheim and is expected to return to his parent club at the end of the season.
Sources indicate that Bologna are weighing multiple options in the market, with Orban emerging as a viable candidate due to his relatively modest valuation, estimated between €8 million and €10 million.
Despite a challenging campaign in Italy, the Nigerian international has managed seven league goals in 28 appearances, finishing as Verona’s top scorer.
His performances have continued to attract attention, even amid the club’s inconsistent form.
