Boniface Struggling With Excess Weight- Bild

According to Germany's Sport Bild, Super Eagles forward Victor Boniface is currently struggling with excess weight, which is hindering his ability to perform at his best, reports BSNSports.com.ng.

Boniface moved on loan from Bayer Leverkusen to Werder Bremen this summer, where he has been focusing on improving his fitness.

The 24-year-old Nigerian faced injury problems last season that caused a lengthy absence, disrupting his rhythm and taking a physical toll.

As a result, he is currently lacking both sprint speed and stamina, as indicated by the statistics.

During his best period at Leverkusen, Boniface was significantly fitter than he is now at Bremen, primarily due to his extended absence and lack of match practice.

"Victor is embracing the challenge with us. He's fully committed and giving it his all. It's in his own best interest to present himself in the best possible light," said Werder manager Clemens Fritz.
