Former British-Nigerian striker Adebayo Akinfenwa has taken a major step into football ownership after acquiring struggling non-league club FC Farsley, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Akinfenwa, famously known for his "Beast Mode On" catchphrase during his playing career, built a reputation as one of the strongest footballers in the game.

He also became a familiar figure to fans for causing problems for Chelsea F.C. in several memorable FA Cup ties.

The former forward has now turned his attention to football administration by purchasing FC Farsley, a club that has faced significant challenges in recent times.

The acquisition is expected to provide fresh hope for the non-league side as Akinfenwa looks to help stabilize the club and build a stronger future both on and off the pitch.

The move marks another chapter in Akinfenwa's post-playing career, with the former fan favourite aiming to make an impact from the boardroom after enjoying a distinguished career on the field.
