CAF Announces Davido, French Montana for AFCON 2025 Opening Night

Nigerian Afrobeats superstar David “Davido” Adeleke has been confirmed as one of the headline performers at the opening concert of the TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2025, set to take place in Rabat, Morocco, on Saturday, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) announced the line-up on Thursday, unveiling a diverse mix of international and African artists selected to usher in the continent’s premier football tournament.
Joining Davido on stage will be global hip-hop star French Montana, Moroccan singer Douaa Lahyaoui, French-Moroccan hitmaker Lartiste, and emerging artist Says’z.
In a statement, CAF said the opening concert would reflect AFCON’s broader celebration of African culture, music and global influence.
“Global hip-hop star French Montana and Nigerian Afrobeats icon Davido will lead an exciting international line-up, joined by Moroccan sensation Douaa Lahyaoui, French-Moroccan hitmaker Lartiste, and rising artist Says’z,” CAF stated.
“The opening concert is scheduled for Saturday, just a day before the tournament kicks off, setting the tone for what is expected to be an unforgettable AFCON in Morocco.”
The football governing body added that anticipation is building among fans in Rabat and across the continent for a night that blends sport and entertainment on a grand stage.
AFCON 2025 will feature Africa’s top national teams and is expected to deliver a vibrant mix of elite football, cultural expression and live entertainment throughout the tournament.
