CAF Begins Search For Substantive General Secretary

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has commenced the search for a substantive Secretary-General, less than four months after appointing Nigerian football administrator Samson Adamu as Acting Secretary-General, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
CAF has advertised the vacant position on its official website, inviting qualified candidates to apply for the role, which is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day administration and management of African football's governing body.
The Secretary-General serves as CAF's chief administrative officer and is expected to oversee the implementation of the organisation's strategic objectives while ensuring the efficient running of its operations.
According to the vacancy notice, interested and qualified applicants have until July 10, 2026, to submit their applications.
The move signals CAF's intention to appoint a permanent occupant to one of the most important administrative positions within the organisation.
