CAF Inspection Team Visits Lagos Ahead Of 2026 CAF Awards

Officials from the Lagos State Sports Commission have welcomed a delegation from the Confederation of African Football (CAF) to Lagos as preparations intensify for the 2026 CAF Awards, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The CAF inspection team toured the proposed venues and facilities earmarked for the prestigious continental event as part of the assessment process ahead of the awards ceremony.

According to the Lagos State Sports Commission, its officials guided the CAF delegation through the venues while receiving feedback on key aspects of the planned hosting arrangements.

The commission stressed that hosting an event of the CAF Awards' magnitude requires meticulous planning, with every detail being carefully considered to ensure a successful delivery.

"We guided them through the venue and gathered their feedback. 

Hosting an event of this scale means every single detail counts, and our team is working hard behind the scenes to make sure we get it right," the commission stated.

The inspection visit marks another important step in Lagos' preparations as the city aims to successfully stage one of African football's most prestigious annual events.
