CAF Super Cup: Sundowns Face USM Alger in Pretoria

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has confirmed that the 2026 CAF Super Cup will be played on November 8, with CAF Champions League winners Mamelodi Sundowns taking on CAF Confederation Cup holders USM Alger, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The one-off continental showpiece will be staged in Pretoria, South Africa, handing Sundowns home advantage as they seek to add another major African trophy to their growing collection.

The annual fixture, which traditionally serves as the curtain-raiser to CAF's interclub season, brings together the winners of the CAF Champions League and the CAF Confederation Cup in a battle for continental supremacy.

Sundowns earned their place in the Super Cup after lifting the CAF Champions League title, while USM Alger qualified by winning the CAF Confederation Cup.

The encounter is expected to showcase two of Africa's top clubs as they compete for the first continental silverware of the new season.
