CAF Unveils Agenda For Saturday’s Executive Committee Meeting

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced the agenda for its executive committee meeting scheduled to take place on Saturday in Kenya, ahead of the 2024 Championship of African Nations (CHAN) final in Nairobi, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The session, which precedes the clash between Madagascar and Morocco at Kasarani Stadium, will focus on several key decisions, notably the hosting rights for upcoming editions of the Africa Cup of Nations.
Highlights of the agenda include: Approval of venues for the 2025 & 2026 CAF Awards
Appointment of a new Director of Refereeing
Finalization of World Cup qualifiers’ dates
Confirmation of date and venue for the 2025 CAF Super Cup (Pyramids vs RS Berkane)
Opening of bids to host future AFCON tournaments (2029, 2031, 2033, 2035) as well as U17, U20 AFCON and CHAN editions
Updates on the 47th CAF General Assembly in DR Congo
Consideration of expanding the Women’s AFCON
Organizational matters for the Women’s CAF Champions League Transfer
