CAFCL: Rivers United Players Receive Cash Rewards

Rivers United players have been rewarded with a cash prize of $5,000 for securing qualification to the lucrative group stage of the CAF Champions League, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Pride of Rivers sealed their spot in the group stage after a hard-fought 3-2 aggregate victory over Black Bulls of Mozambique.

In recognition of their effort and determination, the Rivers State Commissioner for Sports, Barr. Chris Green, presented the financial reward to the players. Green praised the team for their resilience and commitment, urging them to remain focused as they continue their continental campaign.

 “You have made the state proud once again. This reward is a token of appreciation for your hard work and dedication. We believe you can go even further in this competition,” Green said.

Rivers United will now shift their attention to preparations for the CAF Champions League group stage, where they aim to make a strong impression against some of Africa’s elite clubs.
