Nigeria’s Rivers United have returned home after their CAF Champions League second preliminary round first leg clash against Black Bulls of Mozambique, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Pride of Rivers suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat in Maputo, leaving them with work to do ahead of the reverse fixture in Port Harcourt.

Head coach George Finidi and his players touched down in Nigeria on Monday afternoon, immediately turning their focus to preparations for the decisive second leg.

Rivers United will be banking on home support and a strong performance at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium to overturn the deficit and advance to the next stage of the competition.
