Uncertainty surrounds the scheduling of the first leg of the CAF Champions League Final as the Confederation of African Football (CAF) weighs a potential postponement, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa will face AS FAR of Morocco in the final with the first leg slated for South Africa.

CAF’s Club Competitions Committee is expected to convene in the coming days to finalize key arrangements for the final, with particular attention on the timing of the first leg billed to take place in South Africa.

Concerns have been raised over the current Friday afternoon kickoff, with issues relating to television broadcast schedules and anticipated fan turnout at the center of discussions.

In response, a proposal has been tabled to shift the fixture from May 15 to a later date, with May 16 or 17 under consideration.

A final decision is expected after the committee meeting, which will determine whether the adjustment will be implemented ahead of the highly anticipated continental showdown.
