CHAN 2024: CAF Sanctions Zambia, Kenya, Morocco

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has sanctioned three countries Zambia, Kenya, and Morocco over various infractions at the ongoing 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN), BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Since the start of the tournament, several incidents have drawn CAF’s attention, prompting the football body to step in with disciplinary action.

According to CAF’s ruling: Zambia has been fined $5,000 after head coach Avram Grant failed to attend the mandatory pre-match press conference before their last fixture. Kenya faces a hefty $50,000 fine and a stern warning for failing to provide adequate security during their last two matches.

Morocco has been fined $5,000 (with $2,500 suspended) for player misconduct and failing to maintain discipline within the squad. CAF has ordered all fines to be settled within 60 days.
