Chelsea Football Club is set to make its first-ever visit to Nigeria next month, with Lagos hosting a major fan engagement event as part of the club’s global outreach programme, The Famous CFC.

The English Premier League side confirmed that the Lagos event will serve as the penultimate stop of its 2025/26 international fan tour. The programme is designed to strengthen ties with supporters worldwide through immersive, in-person experiences.

The event, scheduled for May, will be hosted in partnership with MSport, Chelsea’s official betting partner in Africa. Former Chelsea star and ex-Super Eagles forward Victor Moses is expected to headline the visit, engaging directly with fans throughout the weekend.

Organisers say the Lagos edition will feature a range of activities, including a live match watch party, interactive sessions, and a question-and-answer segment with Moses. Fans will also have opportunities to win signed club merchandise and participate in exclusive experiences.

The Lagos stop marks the fifth destination on this season’s expanded Famous CFC tour, which has been extended to include more cities globally, reflecting the club’s effort to deepen its connection with its international fanbase.

Victor Moses remains a celebrated figure among Chelsea supporters, having played a key role in the club’s 2016/17 Premier League title-winning campaign. During his international career, he earned recognition as part of Nigeria’s victorious squad at the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations and featured in the country’s FIFA World Cup campaigns in 2014 and 2018 before retiring from international football.

Chelsea’s visit is expected to draw significant attention in Lagos, underscoring Nigeria’s importance as a key hub for football fandom in Africa.
