Commonwealth Games 2026:Nigeria Claim Silver in Men’s 4x100m Relay

Sampson Adedeji Nigeria’s men’s 4x100m relay team won silver at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow on Saturday, clocking a season’s best of 38.12 seconds in a tightly contested final, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The quartet of Favour Ashe, Kayinsola Ajayi, Nicholas Fakorede and Udodi Onwuzurike finished second behind Australia, who took gold in 38.07 seconds.

Canada initially crossed the line in second place but were disqualified, elevating Nigeria to the silver medal position.

The race proved highly competitive, with the Nigerian team producing a strong performance to secure the podium finish and add to the country’s medal tally at the Games.
