Crown FC’s Adegbite Named NNL MVP For November As Mabo Wins Coach Of The Month

Crown FC of Ogbomosho forward Michael Adegbite has been named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) and Highest Goal Scorer for November at the Nigeria National League (NNL)/Prostar Monthly Awards, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Adegbite’s goalscoring exploits during the period under review earned him both honours, underlining his importance to Crown FC’s campaign in Nigeria’s second-tier league.

The Best Coach award for November went to Najeeb Mabo of Doma FC, following an impressive run of performances that highlighted his tactical acumen and leadership on the sidelines.

Match officiating was also recognised, with Abdulwahab Jibrin of the Katsina State Referees Council emerging as Best Referee for the month.

The awards were presented at the NNL/PROSTAR International/SPORTLIGHT Hub Monthly Awards, an initiative established to reward excellence and encourage professionalism among players, coaches, and match officials in the Nigeria National League.

The Best Goal award was claimed by Ogonyi Matthew Okpahe of Doma United FC, for his outstanding strike during the Matchday 3 encounter against ABS FC. Meanwhile, Mighty Jets FC of Jos were named Best Behaved Team, in recognition of their exemplary conduct throughout the month.

The ceremony, which marked the first edition of the awards for the new NNL season, was held on Wednesday, 16 December 2025, at the Westpoint Hotel, Wuse Zone 7, Abuja, behind the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) FCT Command.

The event attracted several high-profile figures from Nigeria’s football and sports community. In attendance were former Minister of Sports and current Presidential Aide, Sunday Dare, and the President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau, who was represented by the NFF General Secretary, Dr Mohammed Sanusi. Also present were veteran journalist and broadcaster Mainasara Ilo, former Super Eagles international Daniel Amokachi, and other distinguished guests.

Organisers described the ceremony as colourful and well-coordinated, reaffirming the NNL/Prostar Monthly Awards’ commitment to promoting talent, discipline, and professionalism within Nigeria’s domestic football structure.
