D'Tigress Fall To Spain After Second-Half Collapse

Nigeria’s D’Tigress suffered a heavy 83-58 defeat to Spain after a game of two contrasting halves at the ongoing competition, BSNSports.com.ng reports. 

D’Tigress enjoyed a strong first half, controlling proceedings and taking the lead as they looked poised for a positive result against the European side.

However, Spain returned from the break with a completely different intensity, dominating the second half and converting their opportunities with remarkable efficiency.

Almost every shot from the Spanish side found the basket as Nigeria struggled to keep pace. Victoria Macaulay led D’Tigress in scoring with 18 points, but her individual effort was not enough to prevent Nigeria from suffering defeat.

D’Tigress will now look to bounce back when they face Belgium in their next game.
