Ahead of the 2026 Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco, the Egyptian women's national team has invited 28 players to camp as preparations intensify for the continental tournament, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
According to reports from Cairo, the invited players are scheduled to report to camp in the Egyptian capital on July 12, where they will begin training under the technical crew ahead of the competition.
Egypt has been drawn in Group C alongside Nigeria's Super Falcons, Malawi, and Zambia, setting up a highly competitive battle for qualification to the knockout stage.
The Pharaohs will be aiming to put together a strong campaign at the tournament, with the early training camp expected to help the coaching staff assess the squad and fine-tune preparations before the team departs for Morocco.
Nigeria's Super Falcons, who remain one of the favourites for the title, will face Egypt in one of the standout fixtures in Group C as both teams seek a positive start to their WAFCON 2026 campaign.
