Ivory Coast will begin the search for a new head coach after Emerse Faé's contract with the national team officially expires on July 31, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Ivorian Football Federation has decided not to renew Faé's deal and is expected to appoint a new coach in the coming weeks as preparations continue for upcoming international competitions.

Faé enjoyed a memorable spell in charge of the Elephants, guiding the West African nation to the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations title on home soil in one of the competition's most remarkable triumphs.

However, subsequent results failed to meet expectations. Ivory Coast were eliminated in the quarter-finals of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations before suffering an early exit in the Round of 32 at the FIFA World Cup.

The federation is now expected to turn its attention to finding a successor who can lead the Elephants into the next phase of their international campaign.
