Enyimba Hand Coach Eguma Two-Match Ultimatum

Enyimba International FC has given head coach Stanley Eguma a two-game ultimatum to turn the team’s fortunes around following a poor run of results in the ongoing 2025/26 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The club’s management reached the decision on Monday after reviewing recent performances, including Sunday’s 2–1 loss to Plateau United in Jos Enyimba’s third consecutive league defeat after earlier setbacks against Warri Wolves in Aba and Kun Khalifat FC in Owerri.

The slump has seen the nine-time NPFL champions slip to ninth on the table with three wins, four draws, and three losses from ten matches.

As a result, Eguma and his technical crew have been instructed to deliver positive results in the next two fixtures against Kano Pillars in Aba this weekend and Abia Warriors in Umuahia next week to keep their jobs.

“Enyimba FC is a club with a proud winning tradition and a strong expectation of excellence,” the club stated.

 “While we appreciate the efforts of the technical crew, the current results fall short of our ambitions. The management expects an immediate improvement starting with Sunday’s home game against Kano Pillars.”

The club also assured fans and stakeholders that necessary measures are being taken to ensure a quick turnaround as the season progresses.
