Iranian national team forward Mehdi Taremi has reportedly informed officials at his current club, Olympiacos, of his intention to return to Iran amid escalating regional tensions, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Taremi, who previously featured for FC Porto and Inter Milan, is said to have expressed a desire to stand alongside his country’s leadership and armed forces during the current period of uncertainty.
