FCT FA Women’s Tournament: Semi-Final Showdowns Set for Wednesday

The 2026 FCT Football Association (FCT FA) Women’s Inter-Area Council Tournament enters its decisive stage on Wednesday, September 2, with four Area Councils set to battle for places in the final, BSNSports.com.ng reports. 

The semi-final matches will be played at the Area 3 Football Field, with Bwari Area Council taking on Kwali Area Council in the opening fixture at 9am.

Kuje Area Council will then face AMAC Area Council at 10am in the second semi-final, with both matches expected to produce keenly contested encounters as the teams fight for a place in Saturday’s final.

The tournament will reach its climax on Saturday, September 5, when the third-place playoff and final are held at the same venue.

The losers of Wednesday’s semi-finals will meet in the third-place match at 1pm, while the winners will square off in the final at 3pm to determine the 2026 FCT FA Women’s Inter-Area Council champions.

The competition is part of the FCT FA’s efforts to promote women’s football at the grassroots level and provide opportunities for talented players across the six Area Councils to showcase their abilities.

With the tournament now entering its final phase, attention will be on Bwari, Kwali, Kuje and AMAC as they battle for the coveted championship.
