FCT Sports Administration Takes Shape As Screening Committee Wraps Up Assignment

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Sports Associations Screening Committee has successfully concluded the screening of aspirants seeking board membership positions across the 33 recognized sports associations in the territory, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
Chairman of the Committee, Godwin Bamigboye, commended members of the steering committee for their dedication, commitment, and teamwork throughout the exercise, noting that their collective efforts contributed significantly to its success.
In a statement issued after the completion of the screening process, Bamigboye expressed appreciation to the committee members for their sacrifices and unwavering commitment to ensuring a credible and transparent exercise.
“I hereby express deep appreciation to members of the Steering Committee for the screening of aspirants for board membership of the FCT Sports Associations. Your sacrifice, commitment, and teamwork spirit contributed to the success of the exercise,” he said.
The chairman stated that attention would now shift to the inauguration of board members for the 33 sports associations. He urged committee members to maintain the same level of dedication that characterized the screening process to ensure the committee fully achieves its mandate.
Bamigboye also disclosed that the committee would reconvene in the coming weeks to review its progress and finalize plans for the inauguration of the new boards.
The successful completion of the screening exercise marks a significant step toward strengthening sports administration and governance within the Federal Capital Territory.
The screening committee is chaired by Mr. Godwin Bamigboye, with Mr. Agbor Clinton serving as secretary. Other members of the committee include Dr. Charles Agadu, Mr. Iyiola Ogundele, Dr. Mrs. Whoba Esther, Hon. Albert Atiwurcha, Niyi Busari, Uche Nwudoh, Adakole Jones, and Dave Jegede.
