FIBA Africa Releases Full Schedule For 2027 Basketball World Cup Qualifiers

The FIBA Regional Office of Africa has released the full schedule for the fourth window of the 2027 FIBA Basketball World Cup African Qualifiers, with 18 games set to be played in Tunisia and Senegal from August 27 to 30, 2026, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The second round will feature 12 teams divided into Groups E and F, with Group E matches taking place at the Salle Multidisciplinaire de Radès in Tunisia, while Group F fixtures will be played at the Dakar Arena in Senegal.
Nigeria’s D’Tigers are in Group E alongside Cameroon, Guinea, Tunisia, South Sudan and Cape Verde. Group F comprises Senegal, Côte d’Ivoire, Mali, Angola, Egypt and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

For Nigerian viewers, the times are one hour ahead of the UTC schedule. D’Tigers will therefore face Cameroon at 4:00pm Nigerian time on August 27, South Sudan at 1:00pm on August 28 and Cape Verde at 1:00pm on August 30.
The fourth window marks the beginning of the second round of the African qualifying campaign, with the 12 teams battling for five available tickets to the 2027 FIBA Basketball World Cup in Qatar. The top two teams in each group, alongside the best third-placed team, will qualify for the global tournament.
D’Tigers enter the window with a 4–2 record, while Cameroon lead Group E with a 5–1 record. In Group F, Senegal, Côte d’Ivoire and Mali all sit on 5–1 records ahead of the decisive window.
The games will be broadcast live on Courtside 1891, according to the schedule released for the competition.
