FIFA, CAF Agree On 2027 AFCON Dates

World football governing body, FIFA, has officially approved the dates for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), bringing clarity to preparations for the continent’s flagship tournament, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
According to the announcement, the competition will take place from June 19 to July 17, 2027.
The tournament will be jointly hosted by three East African nations Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania marking a historic return of the competition to the region.
This edition will be the first time the three nations will co-host the tournament, highlighting growing collaboration in African football development and infrastructure.
The Confederation of African Football is expected to release further details regarding venues, qualification format, and logistics in the coming months as preparations gather momentum.
