FIFA Orders Tunisian FA To Settle Mehdi Nafti Debt As CAS Ruling Takes Effect

The Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) has instructed the Tunisian Football Federation (FTF) to immediately settle an outstanding financial obligation owed to former coach Mehdi Nafti, following a binding decision by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The ruling sets the amount due at 142,000 Tunisian dinars, which is approximately $45,800 USD.

CAS upheld Nafti’s claim after a contractual dispute with the Tunisian federation, making the payment legally enforceable under FIFA’s regulatory framework governing football-related financial obligations.

FIFA has now moved to ensure compliance, reinforcing its stance on enforcing arbitration rulings and protecting contractual rights within the global football system.

The FTF is expected to proceed with payment to avoid potential sanctions, including possible sporting or administrative restrictions.
