Flamingos, Guinea Second Leg Clash Suffers Postponement

Nigeria’s second-leg FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup qualifier against Guinea has been postponed and rescheduled for Sunday, May 31, 2026, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The encounter, which was originally set for Saturday, May 30, has been shifted by 24 hours by the organisers. The match will now kick off at 4:00 PM at the Remo Stars Stadium.

The Flamingos head into the return leg in a commanding position after dismantling Guinea 5-0 in the first leg played in Abidjan. 

With such a massive advantage, the Nigerian side remain strong favourites to advance to the next round of the qualifiers for the FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup.

No reason has been officially given for the postponement, but the Super Falcons U17 will now have an extra day to prepare as they look to seal qualification on home soil.
