Everton midfielder Tim Iroegbunam also opted against joining the AFCON squad, choosing instead to concentrate on securing regular playing time at Goodison Park. Chelle additionally reached out to AS Monaco’s 19-year-old forward George Ilenikhena soon after assuming the coaching role.
