Fulham Boss Reveals What They Will Miss About Super Eagles Trio

Fulham manager Marco Silva has outlined the major void Alex Iwobi, Calvin Bassey, and Samuel Chukwueze will leave behind as they depart for Nigeria’s Africa Cup of Nations camp in Egypt, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The trio were included in the Super Eagles’ final 28-man squad for the 2025 AFCON in Morocco and are expected to be away for up to a month, depending on Nigeria’s progress in the tournament.

Silva, speaking ahead of their departure, highlighted the significance of the three players in his squad setup.

“We are talking about three starting XI players. We know Alex is a key player in any position he plays. The importance of Calvin, and what Chukwueze has been doing in recent games. You have to find solutions. If you know any other way to handle it [AFCON], let me know.”

The Portuguese tactician acknowledged the challenge of replacing such influential contributors but emphasized that the club would adjust accordingly as they navigate a busy period in the Premier League without them.
