Full 2025 CHAN Quarter-Final Fixtures Unveiled Following Group D Conclusion
By Niyi Busari
The quarter-final fixtures of the 2025 African Nations Championship (CHAN) have been finalized following the conclusion of Group D matches on Tuesday evening, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
In the group’s final games, Sudan and Senegal battled to a goalless draw, a result that ensured both nations advanced to the knockout stage. Nigeria, meanwhile, claimed a 2–0 win over Congo, but the victory was not enough to salvage their campaign, as both teams exited the competition in third and fourth place, respectively.
Sudan finished top of Group D with five points, edging Senegal—who also amassed five points—on goal difference. The two sides now progress to face formidable opponents in the quarter-finals: Sudan will take on Algeria, runners-up from Group C, while Senegal face Uganda.
The last-eight matches are scheduled for Friday and Saturday.
