Despite securing qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, concerns have emerged within the camp of the Ghana Black Stars, as members of the technical crew are reportedly owed nine months’ salary, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

According to reports, the outstanding payments affect the entire technical team, raising questions about the Ghana Football Association’s (GFA) welfare management despite recent on-field success. In addition to the unpaid salaries, both players and coaches are yet to receive their bonuses for the World Cup qualification campaign.

The development has cast a shadow over Ghana’s preparations and internal stability, particularly at a time when expectations are high following their qualification for football’s biggest global tournament.

Further compounding the situation, the Black Stars will not feature at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations after failing to secure qualification for the tournament, marking a significant setback for the four-time African champions.

As of the time of filing this report, the GFA has not issued an official statement addressing the alleged salary arrears and unpaid bonuses.
