Horvel Prime Crowned Champions Of Game-on Afrika U19 As FCT Stars Set For National Playoffs

Horvel Prime FC delivered a stunning performance to claim the Game-on Afrika U19 Football Tournament title, defeating Ramsacky FC 5–0 in the final match held on Sunday at the Nyanya Sporting Arena in Abuja, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Two goals each from the boots of Kingsley (48',80') and Bawa Oche (59', 64') with a goal from David Victor sealed remarkable victory for the champions.

The dominant display from Horvel Prime capped an impressive campaign in the youth competition, which featured top U19 teams from across the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

Following the conclusion of the tournament, organizers announced the selection of 15 standout players from various participating teams. These players will represent the FCT in the upcoming national playoffs in Owerri, Imo State.

The playoffs, scheduled for November 14–17, 2025, will feature the FCT team alongside Enugu Rangers International U19, Owerri Campus FC, and a representative team from Lagos State. The format will see each team compete in the semifinals, with the winners advancing to the final to determine the overall champion.

Outstanding players from the Owerri playoffs will form a 23-man squad that will travel to Ghana for a friendly series against the Ghana U19 national side.

The initiative will culminate in a combined selection of the best Nigerian and Ghanaian players, who will then embark on a football development tour of the United Kingdom, providing them with valuable international exposure.
