Iheanacho Targets Silverware With Celtic

New Celtic signing Kelechi Iheanacho says he is determined to help the Scottish champions add more trophies to their cabinet, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Nigerian forward joined the Hoops after leaving Sevilla by mutual consent, penning a one-year contract with an option for another 12 months.

He arrives in Glasgow eager to reignite his career following a difficult spell in Spain and a short loan stint at Middlesbrough.

“I’m excited to be a Celtic player and feel really good about it. Celtic is a massive club and I’ve been following them for a long time,” Iheanacho told Daily Record.

“I’m happy to be a part of that now, and hopefully it’ll be a great season. I’m looking forward to fighting for silverware with Celtic. In England, I won trophies, so hopefully I can be a winner with Celtic as well.

“I can’t wait to be a part of all of it, and I’m very confident that I can bring a lot to the team.”
