‎Nigeria’s D’Tigress star Ezinne Kalu has added another remarkable milestone to her illustrious basketball career after her high school retired her jersey in recognition of her outstanding achievements, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Born to a Nigerian father and an American mother, Kalu made history during her high school days, becoming the first woman in the school’s history to score more than 2,000 points. ‎ ‎ ‎

Her impact on the programme was so significant that the school honoured her legacy by retiring her jersey. ‎ ‎ ‎

Kalu is one of only two players remaining from Nigeria’s historic 2018 FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup squad, which made history as the first African team to reach the quarter-finals of the competition. ‎ ‎ ‎
