Kano Govt. To Airlift Athletes For National Youth Games

Kano State Governor Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf has approved the airlift of Kano State Athletes contingents to Asaba the capital city of Delta State to attend the forthcoming National Youth games, Asaba 2025, BSNSports.com.ng reports. 

This was disclosed by the Acting Chairman of Kano State Sport commission Alhaji Ibrahim Umar fagge shortly after meeting with State commissioner of youth and sports development Alhaji Mustapha Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso in his office.

He said this is part of the state Governor's pledge that the State government would take every measures to protect its Athletes from what happened to twenty two Athletes from the State that lost their lives on their way back to Kano from Ogun State during the gateway games in a road accident.

He said Kano State would attend the youth games with over one hundred and seventy Athletes and will compete in seventeen sporting events.

He then charged the Athletes to tighten their belt to make the State Proud and remain good ambassadors to the government and good People of Kano State throughout the games.

Alhaji Fagge said already two coaster buses had been released with two Drivers each to travels to Asaba by road in order to receive the contingents at Asaba Air Port and other local running during the games.
